When Trump Loses, It Must be Rigged!

Nobody is more obsessed with winning than Donald Trump. He will do almost anything to win. But if he senses he is about to lose or has just lost an election, a legal case, or any other type of contested event, he claims it is rigged. He does this not because the event in question actually is rigged, but because if he can get people to believe his assertion, then people will think he is not a loser. The worst thing he could ever be called is a loser.

Trump thought he was going to lose the 2016 election because he was trailing in all the polls as the election approached. He claimed a month before the election, with no supporting evidence, that the election was rigged against him. But then he won! Obviously the Democrats and the Media, the ones he had accused of doing the rigging, did a bad job because he ended up as the victor.

When reporters pointed out to him soon after his victory that Hillary Clinton had won the 2016 popular vote, he responded he would have beaten her if 3 to 5 million people had not voted illegally. There is no credible information that supports that claim. Once again, he was unwilling to admit a loss and instead blamed phantom illegal voters for his failure.

in 2020, Biden was consistently ahead in the polls during the runup to the election. Trump again was claiming the election was rigged. This time he lost. And not only did he claim afterwards that he lost because the election was rigged. He also tried to steal the presidency back by taking numerous actions for which he has been charged with felonies by the Justice department and by the District Attorney of Fulton County, Georgia.

Two days ago, on May 30,2024, Trump was convicted of all 34 felony counts he was charged with by the District Attorney of New York County, New York and can now add the honorific “Felon” to his name. And what is his reaction. The trial was rigged!

Most of us were taught as children to accept a loss, shake hands, learn from your mistakes, and prepare and try harder next time. One 77 year-old ex-President never learned those lessons and obviously never will.
